Anthony D. Lauria

Tony Lauria has represented defendants in civil litigation for the past 25 years in California and 21 years in Nevada. He has extensive trial experience, is an A.V. rated attorney, has been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates and has successfully defended physicians, hospitals, and other professionals, as well as vehicular, premises, product liability claims, and professional licensing board matters in both California and Nevada. In addition, he has handled matters before the Appellate and Supreme Courts in California and Nevada involving civil procedure, jurisdiction issues, defamation, and the application of MICRA. Tony has begun jury trials in over 30 civil cases involving claims of personal injury, business torts, and professional negligence.

The major focus of his practice involves medical, hospital, nursing and dental malpractice, Elder Abuse and long term care, premises liability, construction injury, and medical product claims. His extensive experience in defending medical claims gives him a unique advantage in understanding medical issues in personal injury matters and access to the best medical experts to assist in the defense of these matters.

Tony graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1981 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration. He then attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where he graduated second in his class in 1986 and was made a member of the Order of the Coif and Traynor Honor Society, Student Bar Treasurer, President of the McGeorge Rugby Club, and received numerous other awards.
